China - My, how they love their false gods!
Xiaochen at the main entrance
"And do not go after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt. Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt." (Jeremiah 25:6-7)
A Visit from My Cousin's Wife's Cousin!
Beijing Duck at the Most Famous Beijing Duck Restaurant
What they don't mention here is how the ducks are FORCE-fed food to make their stomaches swell which is supposed to make them "tastier". Animal activists are trying to stamp out "Beijing Duck" as it is said to be a cruel way of preparing the meat. You learn something new every day!

If I had a nickel for every time a naked little boy ran into one of my pictures in China...

Visitors from Handong University!
Daniel's flight had a stop-over in Beijing on his way to Afghanistan for summer vacation last year and so we were able to hang out for a bit! Daniel is one of my old students from Handong and we've become close friends over the years.
I was also able to meet up with Professor Eric Enlow while he was in Beijing with a small group from Handong International Law School.

Chaoyang Theatre
Instead of pics, I took a few videos. Check them out at: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=hheellooo7
"In Beijing Chaoyang District, there is a famous theatre, Beijing Chaoyang Theatre where you could watch acrobatics and other programs of entertainment. Top acrobatic artists invited from all over the country perform for Chinese and foreign tourists. The program features trick cycling, leaping through hoops and Chinese magic tricks. Some of the artists have won prizes in international competitions. Spinning plates, juggling umbrellas, contortionists and acrobats fill the air. Integrating superlative juggling, balancing and jumping through hoops with the finest ancient Chinese dancing, the star-studded cast will amaze."

Dining in China

Protective dragons keeping watch over the local Chinese restaurant

It tastes MUCH better than it looks. A little spicy though!

Sunny-a friend of a friend I had lunch with in Beijing. Be praying for her...

It would be nice if they cut the heads of fish in China! Nothing like feeling like the fish is watching you eat him, ha!ha!
